"My husband and I just attended your overnight retreat and I wanted to tell you that I can't thank you enough. Although we've had a troubled marriage the past 4 years due to my husband's substance abuse, it gave me hope because we were able to really "connect" last weekend and reminisce about happier times and get in touch with the bond of love and friendship that really is still there underneath all the 'junk.' I loved the fact that all the principles were easy to understand and you showed us how to really apply them to our marriage. We especially enjoyed learning about our financial styles and personality types. That really helped me to see that a lot of the way my husband is is because of his personality and to realize I need to be more accepting and try to focus on ways we can make things work and compromise instead of me trying to change him. I think it's been so long overdue that there was something like this available to LDS couples and I will be sure and promote it to all my friends.
